A Leadership Reset for Executives Navigating Pivotal Moments

The Renewal Reset Framework® is a structured 12-week engagement for executives at a pivotal point—a new role, a difficult transition, sustained pressure, or the recognition that how they have been leading is no longer working as it needs to.

The work helps the leader understand what is driving the gap between intention and impact, realign values, behavior, and role expectations, and make the changes the moment requires. The leader leaves with clear commitments, practical decision and reflection tools, and a 6–12-month Renewal Plan to carry the work forward.

This is not open-ended coaching. It is a defined engagement grounded in evidence, honest reflection, disciplined practice, and concrete outcomes.

The Renewal Reset Framework®

The Framework is grounded in a Christian understanding of renewal as repentance, reorientation, and recommitment—where change is not cosmetic, but requires truth, responsibility, and disciplined practice.

Why Renewal

  • A new role with higher expectations

  • A team or board relationship under strain

  • Culture issues exposing behavioral gaps

  • Feedback that disrupts confidence

  • A major transition or organizational shift

  • Performance pressure amplifying unhelpful patterns

  • A growing sense of disconnection from purpose

  • What is required of you now is different from what was required of you before

Why Executives Need A Reset

  • Targeted assessments

  • Sponsor or stakeholder perspectives, when appropriate

  • Clarification of role and business expectations

  • Identification of gaps among values, intention, behavior, and impact

Outcome:

A credible, evidence-informed understanding of what must change and why.

  • Leadership identity and role realignment

  • Decision rubrics for consequential or recurring situations

  • Values-to-behavior commitments

  • Preparation for necessary accountability or repair conversations

  • Leadership practices and operating rhythms

  • Clarification of expectations with relevant stakeholders

Outcome:

A leader operating with greater clarity, intention, congruence, and responsibility.

Integration Phase

  • A 6–12-month Renewal Plan

  • Codified leadership practices and commitments

  • Decision and reflection tools

  • Leadership rhythms and accountability mechanisms

  • Defined measures of progress

  • A final integration and forward-planning session

Outcome:

A practical, owned plan for sustaining leadership change beyond the 12-week engagement.

Transformation Arc: From Leadership Drift to Disciplined Alignment

Leadership shifts from:

  • Drift → Disciplined alignment

  • Reactive behavior → Intentional leadership

  • Inconsistent decisions → Clear, values-anchored decisions

  • Disconnection from role or purpose → Renewed clarity and commitment

When The Renewal Reset Framework Is the Right Fit

The Renewal Reset Framework® is designed for an individual leader who needs to take a closer look at how they are leading and make needed changes. The work considers both how the leader is operating and the conditions in which the leader is being asked to operate. This helps distinguish what the leader can change directly from what may require attention from the leadership team or organization.

The Framework may be a good fit when:

  • The leader is adjusting to a new role, significant change, or increased responsibility

  • A recurring challenge, strained relationship, or difficult feedback calls for a closer look at how the leader is operating

  • The leader is willing to examine established patterns and consider how others may experience their leadership

  • The leader’s role and expectations are clear enough to identify what needs to change

  • The leader can commit to the work and apply what they are learning over 12 weeks

  • When the organization is sponsoring the engagement, the leader and sponsor understand what will be shared and what will remain confidential

If the main concern lies in how the leadership team or organization makes decisions, assigns responsibility, communicates, or works together, an individual engagement may not be the right starting point. In those situations, KHET may recommend Redemptive Leadership Labs or Organizational Diagnostic & Alignment instead.

Why KHET

KHET brings direct operating, organizational, and executive leadership experience to this work. Leaders do not operate in isolation, and their effectiveness is shaped both by how they lead and by the conditions around them. The Framework considers the leader’s patterns, role demands, stakeholder expectations, and organizational context so the work addresses the right problem, not simply the most visible one.
